As you already may know, a great effort has been made in the administration part of Team Foundation Server 2010 regarding the previous versions. Except if you like command lines, a useful tool exists now to manage installation, projects collections, permissions, etc… Quite simple and really necessary.
However, when you begin to think that you are saved of commands and data manipulations in TFS Database, TFS can persist to challenge you with others errors and corrupt states. Be sure that the case is rare, but sometimes…
For example, imagine that your TFS administrator changes your TFS account, and provides you new credentials. You want to load your old project and TFS informs you that you have no workspace define. Obvious, you have change your credentials and a workspace owns to only one account. So you define your workspace at the same location of your project… and TFS refuses due to a conflict of workspace between your old account and the new account !
No hope to resolve your problem with the TFS Tool, and modify the Data in TFS Database is dangerous(and ineffective sometimes !).
